ARGO Aurora Upper Body Plastic Specification

• Define the Aurora upper body surface spec with clear ownership of Class A, B, C zones • Freeze Class A for appearance quality and derive Class B and C for structure and attachment • Review and clean the master CAD model for manufacturability and datum alignment • Set gap and flush targets at customer-visible interfaces and critical joints • Provide a 1:1 mylar sheet for quick section-based verification during prototype and receiving

• Lock styling intent on Class A, set continuity targets (G2 or higher where required), then derive B and C with offsets and fillets • Worked with the CAD: fix gaps, overlaps, self-intersections, inverted normals, and reconcile to the datum scheme • Run draft analysis to confirm pull direction, add split lines, resolve undercuts, and validate tooling feasibility • Create interface control: mounting bosses, hole patterns, slots, and seal lands, then check section cuts at defined stations • Export section cuts and tolerance bands to mylar, and define an inspection plan using mylar checks, go or no-go gauges, and a focused CMM list

• Toolable, unambiguous surface set that reduces rework and shortens tool tryout time • Predictable fit and finish that meets gap and flush targets across all visible joints • Faster first-article verification using the mylar sheet without tying up CMM resources • Cleaner supplier handoff with a single source of truth for surfaces, interfaces, and tolerances • More repeatable assembly with better sealing and lower risk of water ingress or NVH issues
